Trades · find collectors who have what you want
Pokémon TCG Trades
List the cards you have for trade and the cards you want. Catchinary cross-references every list and surfaces only the mutual matches (collectors who want something you have AND have something you want). Once you find a match, you contact each other through Discord, Reddit, email, or whatever handle they listed. We never broker the trade ourselves and we never take a cut.
What is a card trade matcher?
Trading Pokémon cards online is mostly a cold-start problem. You post a "have / want" thread, hope someone with the right collection scrolls past, and answer the same DMs over and over. A matcher flips the script. Both sides fill in their lists once, and the system pairs people whose lists overlap on both directions.
Catchinary already knows the entire English-language Pokémon TCG database (over 18,000 cards across every set). Listing a card is a single click on its detail page. Matches refresh in real time as new traders join and as existing traders update their lists, so the surface area for finding a partner grows by the day.
Why trade on Catchinary
- Cold start solved. We already have your collection on file. No need to type out every card you own from scratch.
- Mutual matches only. No spam DMs from people who want your stuff but have nothing you want back.
- Free, no broker fees. Zero commission. We do not touch the trade itself.
- Public trader pages. Every active trader gets a deep-linkable profile at /u/handle/trades so you can share lists outside the platform.
- Condition-aware. Set a minimum condition on each wanted card. Trades below that bar are filtered out automatically.
- Your collection stays private. Trade lists are opt-in. Nothing else from your account is exposed.

Trades FAQ
Is this a trade broker?
No. Catchinary surfaces matches between collectors and stops there. Once you find someone with overlapping interests, the two of you arrange the actual trade off-platform using whatever contact handle they listed (Discord, Reddit, email, etc.). We never hold cards, escrow money, or take a cut.
Do you take a fee?
Not a cent. The matcher is free for everyone. No premium tier, no listing fees, no commission on completed trades.
How do you contact the other person?
Each trader sets a single contact handle on their profile. That can be a Discord username, a Reddit handle, an email address, or any other handle they prefer. When you find a match, you reach out to them directly through the channel they chose.
What conditions are supported?
Five grades: NM (Near Mint), LP (Lightly Played), MP (Moderately Played), HP (Heavily Played), and DMG (Damaged). When you list a wanted card you set a minimum acceptable condition, and the matcher only suggests trades at or above that bar.
Is my address ever stored?
No. We do not collect, request, or store mailing addresses. Shipping logistics happen entirely between the two traders off-platform.
What if someone scams me?
Treat every Catchinary match the same way you would treat any other internet trade. Use tracked, signed-for shipping. Photograph the cards before sending. Settle on terms in writing before either side ships. Catchinary does not mediate disputes since we are not party to the trade itself.
How do you decide who matches?
We look for mutual overlap. You and another trader only show up as a match when you have at least one card they want AND they have at least one card you want, with conditions meeting both sides' minimums. Matches are scored by the smaller of the two estimated values so balanced trades rank above lopsided ones.
Can I trade non-English cards?
Yes. Each listed card carries a language tag (EN, JP, DE, FR, ES, IT, PT, KR, ZH, plus an OTHER bucket). Wantlist filtering on language is on the roadmap; right now matches surface across languages and you confirm specifics in your direct message.
How do I delete my trade lists?
Open the manage page, hit the remove button on any row, and confirm. Removing your contact handle from your profile also effectively pauses you from match feeds since collectors cannot reach out without it.
Will my private collection be exposed?
No. Your trade lists and your private collection are separate. Cards you mark as for-trade or wanted are visible to other traders. Cards in your collection, binder, or inventory stay private unless you explicitly add them to a trade list.
